Ruth Wimer creates sculptures and paintings of animals and their insides through crocheting, sewing, textiles, and painting on soft materials such as fabric. Her work explores the dichotomy between death and innocence and is informed through self-reflection about her memories, thoughts, and the feelings that come with them. She recently graduated with a B.A. in Art & Design from Saint Michael’s College. She had her first solo exhibition in the McCarthy Art Gallery in April 2025.
